  1. Aswa, Highly recommend this one. the format is designed for non arabic speakers. The Sahih International Transliteration is the one I prefer.R

  2. Both!
Listen to Quranic reciter (Arabic) at least 5 to 10 minutes a day.
Read the English translation of what you listened to in Arabic.
May Allah open your heart for both (if your intention is sincere).
    Good luck.

  3. I say both as well, for each brings a peace to your mind and soul Subhan’Allah ❤

  4. I think both… the more we try, Insha’allah gradually the more we learn… May Allah help you on this path.

  5. Both, but you have to keep in the back of your head that the non-Arabic version is just an interpretation and not the real and true traduction or meaning 😉 . Here is a Ted talk I found very insighful because I agreed with her before the video was even shared with me. http://www.ted.com/talks/lesley_hazelton_on_reading_the_koran . Above all, only Allah knows and understands his Holy Quran Karim :). We take it as a dogma.

    • Thank you sister – I am in the process of learning, but what I have found especially among my born Muslim friends and family is a complete lack of understanding of what they are saying (in Arabic) so I started to wonder, is there real value if you cant believe and understand what you are reciting. You are just simply talking like a parrot. I have found this one of the most frustrating things about being a revert because I question everything and I have found it difficult to respect people who worship blindly at times x
